How to Report a Power Outage
The best and easiest
way to report an outage is to have your account number ready when
you go to report your outage.
Please do not report a
yard light being out through the outage system. If your yard light
is out please call during the day 662-234-6331 or 1-877-234-6331 and
dial ext 122, or you can use our
online form.
During
working hours:
- Call 662-234-6331 or
1-877-234-6331
- The automated system
will ask you to press 1 for power outages. It will then ask you to
enter your outage one of two ways:
- First you can enter
an outage by pressing 1 and entering your phone number area code
first. If the system recognizes your number, you will be asked to
verify the last name on the account. If the name is correct, you
will be asked if you want to report an outage at this location. If
this is correct, press 1 and an outage ticket will be generated at
our office. If this is not correct, you might have a different
number on the account (recent phone number change). You can try
another number by pressing 2. If the system fails to recognize your
phone number, then you will be asked for the account number. If you
do not have the account number then it will direct you to someone in
the office that you can speak with to report your outage.
- Second, an outage
can be reported by entering your account number directly by pressing
2. If your account number looks like this 12345-001, it must
entered 12345001. You will then be asked to verify the last name on
the account. If the name is correct then press 1 to enter an outage
ticket. If the name is incorrect and you want to try another
account number, then press 2 and it will allow you to try again. If
the account number is invalid, then the system will direct you to
someone in the office that you can speak with to report your outage.
- If you have more
than one account tied to a telephone number it will allow you to
either enter the account number or be directed to someone to speak
to in the office.
After
hours:
The process after hours is
very similar to during working hours except you will not be directed to
someone in the office you will be asked to leave a detailed message so
that if we need to we can call you back

number where we can reach you.
- If you have more
than one account tied to a telephone number it will allow you to
either enter the account number or be asked to leave a detailed
message so that we are able to ascertain the correct account
information.
